OLEV Grant
The increase in electric cars in Wales can be linked to the introduction of the grants for EV charge points, from the governments OLEV (Office For Low Emission Vehicles). These grants are the Electric Vehicle Home Charge Scheme, Workplace Charge Point Scheme and the On-Street Residential Charge Point Scheme. The government introduced these grants to encourage the adoption of electric vehicles by drivers and businesses.
