The NIC EIC approved contractor, and specialist in the installation of renewable energy solutions to the commercial and domestic sectors, is totally switched on when it comes to providing electric vehicle (EV) charging points for this increasing important market.
As Birmingham prepares to introduce a low-emissions fuel zone, the Wirral based business, with clients across North West England and North Wales, is offering its expert charger installation services to West Midlands companies too.
“The market is continuing to grow and we think the congestion charge in Birmingham will be a driving force for further growth in the region,” says Applegarth’s Managing Director Peter Thompson. “Furthermore, as vehicle manufacturers switch production from internal combustion engines to electric, demand for a reliable EV charging infrastructure will only increase.”
Applegarth is an approved installer for numerous EV charger manufacturers, helping businesses by providing the most suitable solutions for their individual needs.
Accredited with the Office for Low Emission Vehicles (OLEV), Applegarth is qualified to install EV chargers under the Workplace Charging and Electric Vehicle Homecharge Schemes (WCS and EVHS). These government initiatives provide companies and residence with up to £500 per charger installed.
All Applegarth’s fully trained personnel are experienced in every aspect of EV charger installation and electrical design. They’re committed to the highest possible standards of tradesmanship, ensuring every job is finished to the client’s satisfaction.
“It’s really important to get the design right and make sure the installation is fit for expansion in the event of a larger uptake of EVs.” adds Peter. “It’s also vital to provide the proprietor with monitoring and payment collection facilities specific for their requirements.”
This is where Applegarth excels, they always offer site surveys following initial enquiries and discuss the best options available for each individual project.
“Some sites require more design to ensure the electrical system is of the correct standard to deliver the required power – it’s not just a matter of plugging them in to the socket at the side of your desk” says Peter. “But we can cope with any challenge and offer turnkey solutions that include electrical design, groundwork and installations.”
Applegarth’s complete customer care commitment means that customers are not left on their own once installation is complete. Ongoing peace of mind is available through its maintenance and breakdown service.
