Domestic OLEV Grant
The domestic OLEV Grant, sometimes known as the ‘Home Charge Scheme’, provides a grant of up to 75% of the cost of one EV Charger (up to the cost of £500). To qualify for the grant, you must have an eligible electric of hybrid vehicle, which was purchased after the 1st April 2015. You can check if your vehicle qualifies for the grant here. You must also be the registered keeper or leaseholder of the vehicle and have off street parking. The EV chargers must also be installed by an OLEV accredited installer.
Commercial OLEV Grant
The OLEV Grant is also available for the commercial sector and is sometimes referred to as the ‘Workplace Charge Point Scheme’. The scheme provides £300 off the cost of purchasing and installing single socket EV Chargers. You can claim the grant for a maximum of 20 single socket charge points or 10 double socket charge points.
The grant is available to businesses, charities and public authorities. To qualify you must have off-street parking and the charge points must be installed by an OLEV approved installer.
