The Workplace Charge Point Scheme is a government grant for EV chargers, funded by the governments Office For Low Emission Vehicles. The objective of the scheme is to encourage and support businesses who are considering EV charge points at their workplace, for their customers and staff. The scheme offers a contribution of up to £300 off the cost of the purchase and installation of an EV charge point. The grant can be claimed for up to 20 single socket EV chargers or 10 double socket EV chargers.
The Workplace Charge Point Scheme can be claimed by businesses, charities and public authorities. To be eligible for the scheme you must have off-street parking, where the EV charge points can be installed. The charger must also be installed by an OLEV approved EV charger installer.
The grant is a voucher based scheme. If your application for the grant is successful you will be emailed a voucher code, which is valid for 4 months. You can apply for your voucher on the government website.
