Who can claim the workplace charge point grant?
Any business, charity or public authority is eligible to claim the grant towards the cost of installing EV charge points.
How do I get the grant?
Firstly, you need to fill out an application form which you can find on the government website. If your application is accepted you will receive a voucher code via email. You then need to contact us with your voucher code.
Do I have to pay for the EV charger upfront and claim the costs back?
No. We will claim the £300 voucher for each EV charge point on your behalf. The value of the voucher will then be discounted from your invoice.
Do I need to have a hybrid or electric car to claim the grant?
No. You only need to declare either a need for an EV charger or an intention to encourage an uptake in electric vehicles amongst your staff or fleet of vehicles.
How many EV charge points can I claim for?
You can claim for up to 20 single point EV charge points or 10 double socket EV chargers.
I have already installed an EV charger. Can I claim the grant still?
No, you cannot claim the grant for an EV charger that you have already installed.
Where is the grant available?
The Workplace charge point scheme is available in England, Scotland, Wales & Northern Ireland. The scheme is not available in the Channel Islands or Isle of Man.
