Applegarth Electrical are a team of OLEV approved EV charger installers. We install EV chargers for both domestic and commercial clients across the UK. Our engineers can install anything from a 3KW home charger to a 50W rapid commercial EV charger. We are approved suppliers and installers of several leading EV charging manufacturers including Rolec, Zappi and EO. This means we are able to provide a design and installation service, including ground works and electrical installation, to suit any application or location. All of our EV charger installers work to the highest standards of workmanship and carry out installations in line with the latest BSYESI regulation and IET code of practice, of EV charging.
OLEV Grant
Applegarth Electrical are proud to be one of a few government OLEV (Office For Low Emission Vehicles) approved installers, in the North West. This means that our EV charger installers are able to install EV charge points under schemes such as the electric vehicle home charge scheme, workplace charge point scheme and the on-street residential charge point scheme.
Electric vehicle homecharge scheme
The electric vehicle homecharge scheme is a contribution of up to £500 off the cost of a single point, home EV Charger. This means we are able to install domestic EV Chargers at a discounted rate.
To be eligible for the OLEV grant, for an EV charger, you must meet the following criteria:
- The charge point must be installed by an OLEV approved EV charger installer
- You must be the registered owner or leaseholder of the electric vehicle
- You must have off-street parking
- The vehicle must be eligible under the scheme
- The EV charge point must be installed in reasonable distance of the electricity distribution board (approximately 10 meters)
Workplace chargepoint scheme
The workplace chargepoint scheme allows up to the cost of £300 per EV Charger, for a maximum of 20 EV Charge Points.
